Julian is dead. Ev was the one who had to tell Col the news. She told him that Cristoff killed him to save Eva's life. I know she was telling the truth but i also know theres more to the story than that, that she gave Col the version he could handle. Not that he took it all that well. He was upset with his fathers death and then mad at himself for being upset. He closed himself off from everyone while he was dealing with his feeling. I dunno, out of all these kids he got the best of what Julian was. It wasn't much, the son of a bitch was a bastard through and through, but for Col he pretended to be a decent father. it's only natural for Col to be all over the map concerning his death. I haven't pushed, for him to talk about it. He doesn't really need to. I've just been here for him however he needs me.
We decided to stay here. There isn't anything left for us back in our world. My dad would have to know I exsist to know that I'm gone. The only person I'll miss is Travis. I adore him to death we've been best friends for half our lives but he wouldn't want me to come back, he knows that I'm with Col and Col has this whole new family to get to know and maybe get close too. Hopefully they can be the family they never had, now that Julian is dead and not hanging over their heads.
As closed off as Col was for a while, I was happy when he and I talked and he said he wanted to buy the Bronze, a club here in town. Him making future plans is a good sign in my opinion. We put an offer in a couple weeks ago and it was accepted. We signed the final papers this afternoon. So now its just a matter of um running it. They had a workable set up, so we don't have to make any major changes for now. Theres a band that plays on the weekend who aren't half bad. Though they're made of some high schoolers so we might have to sit down with them see what their future plans are. We may end up having to find some more talent. It all gives me something to do while I figure out what I'm supposed to do with myself here. I mean, theres already a me here, she does what I did, there doesn't need to be two of us running around doing the same thing. I'm content with managing the club with Col and helping him get his music going again.
The only other major time consuming project at hand, is finding a house to buy. I've been looking at a bunch. Actually the markets pretty damn cheap around here. You can get a fairly big house at amazingly low prices. Guess that a perk to living on the hell mouth. High turnover rate. Col and I are pretty much on the same page for what we're looking for. I think I may have found one that would kick ass. Its close but not too close to Ev's, It got the rooms and stuff that Col and I talked about. It even has a dettached guest house that we could turn into the recording studio Col want. Its needs a little work, but nothing a can of paint wouldn't take care of. Stuff I don't mind doing myself. I've got plenty of time now. Hopefully since I have no idea where his brother and his girlfriend are looking for house and Col very adamantly does not want to be anywhere near him house wise, I haven't a freaking clue if it'd actually work. I'm gonna try and catch Ev later to see if she know where they are looking. Then maybe I'lltake Col over there to see what he thinks of the place. I'm kinda already getting attached to the place, I can see what it could look like when I'm don with it in my head.
In other cool new, Evangeline, or this Evangeline has decided or was bullied by her grandchildren into getting a house here. The Covaults will be making the realtors in this town very happy this month. Ev and Eva celebrated their birthdays last week. We got them both a bracelet from Tiffanys. Different and unique ones for each of them of course. Col has awesome taste in jewelry, so he was the one who picked them out. I hope they liked them. Michael is definitely an interesting guy cause he got Ev a Mercedes. Even though the garage is completely full of cars already, gotta love the idle rich. Though I swore I heard him talking about building a moat around the house. I don't know if he was kidding or not. It's hard to tell with him.
I haven't met Izzy's brother yet. She ended up having to go out of town on business. Yeah, like I'm not dying to know what kind a job she's working on. She called and asked if we could postpone til she got back, I think she said she was headed to Tibet. I would just go there and introduce myself, but I don't want to step on her toes. It's her family and I don't wanna piss her off, especially since I'm gonna be living in the same town as her now. Just like with Eva. I want to get to know her as much as I think I'm getting to know Evalon. But just from that one convo I had with Iz I think she's kinda in a 'mine' state of mind at this point. Plus Eva and Cristoff are busy getting ready for their wedding. Heh, they picked Venice too. Must be another Covault thing. I don't know why I'm being such a freak about all this stuff. Since we're staying we have nothing but time. Everything doesn't have to happen right this minute. Though not like I've ever been known for my patience or anything. Speaking of impatience I think I'll go find Ev, Col's busy with some Bronze stuff, I'll see if she intersted in a cup of coffee or something.
