I'm hot... I don't even know why I'm writing.
I guess... Got back Sat evening. Mom picked us up. Went to Woodmere. Waited for Mark to come. At first only Tita Tesse was there. Jennie showed up later with her rents. Don't remember when we got home, but I think I slept relatively late. But then I wake up at 5 or something.
Went to church.
Mets game. They won!!! We got bears!
Work. I didn't know I was supposed to be in at 9. I give Marna the stuff... And she breaks a mug. They ask me how the trip is, yet... Don't allow me to continue and ask me random Qs so... Yeah. I was then just... So bored.
Today... I was just busy. I had to assist pts in the AM, do NYSIS, but the website was down most of the day. I checked up on claims and realized I have a lot to do... Have to check up on copays, which I didn't touch. And I have no time!!! Edith asks... Are you busy... Of course! She then asks me like to take hearing and BP, like I have a choice.
Been uploading pics... Also a few vids.
Trying to balance my budget... I can't figure about 200 bucks of the cash we spent. About the only thing I figured I don't have receipts for are at the Alice Shop, Sovereign Light Cafe and convenience stores here and there. Ugh...
So tired... So hot... Might as well sleep. I have to work in the AM.
Sunday, August 22, 2010 / Time: 5:43 P.M. (11:43 P.M. BST) / Mood: happy. / Song: Balls of Steel.
I'm in London!!! I seriously cannot believe I'm actually here. Loving it! We're onto the road trip part tomorrow and won't be back to London... Well near the airport till next Sat. Anyway... We left NY around 6:30 and arrived earlier than expected. 6 hours, thirty mins. We then hopped on the Tube and resurfaced at Hammersmith, where our hotel is. OMG!!! We're in London!!! We first headed off to the hotel and dropped off our bags. We then began the excursion! Honestly, it was one of the best days ever, yet really exhausting. Never to be lived up to again, yet... Wouldn't mind trying.
7500centfish and I basically were not able to sleep at all on the plane. I ended up watching Death At A Funeral... The "American" Version. It wasn't as bad as I expected. I guess I'm of the opinion.. What's the point? But I still laughed. I enjoyed it. But... Some parts were lacking... James Marsden is no Alan Tudyk. I don't remember who Luke Wilson was supposed to be. After that I saw Louis Theroux... Something about medicating children on antipsych drugs. I... Felt it didn't really make judgments, yet at the same time it was one sided. Like... They didn't show anyone who was against medicating kids. Although I guess Louis had his reservations, but like I said, he didn't really seem judgmental.
We arrive at 7ish... I change in a buttroom. We hop on tube. Hammersmith, hotel. We then went out!!! First we went to St. Mary Abbot's Church...
We then went to Baker St. It was basically a replica of Sherlock's rooms. Some displays of the stories... Which were freaky... But it was cool. I was completely geeking over Dr. Watson's stuff. I'm such a geek for Naval and Victorian Medicine. Gift shop!!! I bought a Baker St sign and a faux British passport cover... I am thoroughly unAmerican.
After that we headed off to... Well we tried to go to Abbey Rd, but the line we needed was closed for repairs and... The only other way to get there was via bus or cab. So we left it for today, maybe... In all honestly, I didn't really have to go there. I'm not a big fan of the Beatles to begin with so..
We then went to The Bull and Gate, location of some of Keane's early gigs in the late 90s.
7500centfish got her drink on. I went to the butt room... When I joined
7500centfish again, sat on the stool... OMG... Leg cramp! So I sat there massaging my leg for a bit as
7500centfish drank.
We then stopped by Camden Market.
7500centfish was looking for some football scarf for a friend and they suggested we go there. I compared it to... The Village... Or whatever area that
sparkyboy brought me to with... T-shirt shops, tattoo and piercing places. Then they had an open market... Reminded me of Green Hills.
We then went to the Hope and Anchor, another early Keane venue. More water. I went to the buttroom... I was looking for stuff on the bathroom stalls, but didn't see anything.
7500centfish then went and told me she saw something! It was in the opposite stall! But OMG!!! It's not really about Keane, but their tour manager! WHY!?! I like Colin... Not that I know him... Anyway, I had 2 drinks while I recuperated.
7500centfish has 1. We then left and then I had to use the buttroom really bad... So we stopped into another bar and
7500centfish drank again. Tsk tsk me.
After that we went to Finsbury Park... Home of the London Mets. I really wanted to see them play, but looking on the web, it seemed like they played their last regular season game on the 15th... No word of when the playoff are... So no game. All we did was see the field, the rundown dugout, clubhouse... OMG... That park in general is so run down. Grass growing through the protective rubber surfaces.
We then picked up my tickets to Hair, went to a few souvenir shops and got some souvenir to dump in the hotel. We finally checked in. Showered and... B/c we were running late, we weren't able to eat sleep or rest! I think or at least by
7500centfish's I was awake for 35 hours. And all we ate during the day was a waffle. Good thing I had that whopper and ate it like I was never eating again!
Hair! I don't know... Maybe I'm dense, but... I didn't feel there was coherency. Like it annoys me when they basically outright introduce people through songs and then get into story vs introducing people through story. Then... There was like a rough transition with some songs from the talking... But... I have to say I enjoyed the performances. I love Gavin Creel... :( Sasha Allen wasn't there... The ending was really powerful. We then went on Stage!!! HAHAHA!! I tried to record, but my camera decided not to, so I only got the end.
And what was up with the lack of AC! I then heard... Half the lights were out and there was no moon...
Stage door! I basically took a pic with all the guys. I honestly didn't know who half the people were. One guy's Kevin Kern... If I knew what he looked like, I could have talked to him about Altar Boyz! Anyway... I'm kinda mad the people next to us stole my NY power. They said they were from NJ, so anything I said was useless. :( Anyway, one dude said they are going on tour, stopping by DC. Maybe... I still want to see Chess... Anyway, Gavin Creel didn't come out of the backdoor, but the front, b/c his dog was getting testy... Surprisingly I wasn't upset like I was with Keane.
Back to hotel. Tried to get room service, but no one answered. I then went to sleep around 1.
