Regular type of entry
Saturday, they came. Ate at TGIF. Not that great of a selection, but better service. And I'm all about the service...
Went to Queens, with the intent of seeing Slither with Kitty and sparkyboy. sparkyboy was going to a party with Aures. Kitty out later that night. sparkyboy did come back and we saw the 10:25 show. We basically snuck durlxnemesis in cause he's under age. Anyway, it was... It was weird. Not very funny, not very scary. Then it was a combo of an alien / zombie movie. I think it would get better with repeat viewings.
While sparkyboy was at a party... I was watching Napoleon Dynamite. What the!?! Why do people like that movie? Once again, it had it's funny moments, but not enough for me to care. Lol, for a while I had that technology song stuck in my head.
durlxnemesis is leaving me... Everyone does... First geebs, 7500centfish, sparkyboy. Now durlxnemesis. He's going to SUNY Buffalo. It's scary... Little durlxnemesis is off to college...
Anyway, next AM. Palm Sunday. Father JJG... Lol. At one point while he was singing he like messed up on the lyrics. Lol. He was like woops and started laugh singing. Cute. I love a man who can laugh at his mistakes! Lol. Then I wore my Virgin Tshirt. Very inappropriate for church... I mean, I did have it under a hoodie and my jacket...
Karaoke galore. Karaoke revolution, to be exact. Lol. Me and durlxnemesis were dueting to Endless Love. OMG! First off it's freaking hard. I mean, I kinda know the lyrics, but I just couldn't find the right pitch most of the time. That lead me to freaking laugh throughout the entire song, we got boo'd off the stage. Must DL it and learn it so I can beat sparkyboy. Muhahahaha!!!
Monday. Clinic week. I hate clinic... Actually, I kinda liked it. It was just me, the resident and attending. Thank you Ron and Julia for not showing... I actually thought they chose to go to Eye clinic or something... Anyway, it was Cardio. They had like 6 patients total. I saw 2 on my own. Originally I was shadowing the resident, but when the Attending showed she told me to see patients. First was a... I don't even remember... Woops. I saw 3. Then second. OMG... I mean, before I was thinking... Peds isn't that bad. I think if I had to rank... I'd make it 2nd choice. But this one kid. OMG!!! Looking back it kinda made me mad... Anyway, this kids needed cardiac clearance to start a new drug. Hx of asthma. Seeing a psychiatrist for 1 year. With a foster mother, the mother neglected the kid... Didn't know if he had a Dx, what it was or what drug they wanted to start him on. Guessing from his actions the kids has major ADHD. Seriously... Kid was playing with gloves. At one point he went out of the room and tried to go into the room next door. On multiple times I had to pull him back in. And what is the foster mother doing... Nothing. Lol. Then the resident was laughing at me! I mean... I used to think ADHD was a nonexistent disorder. In a sense I still do. I mean, freaking discipline your child! The freaking foster mother isn't doing anything. But then... Maybe there comes a point when they're fed up. I mean, I wouldn't deal with it from the moment the child stepped in. Maybe there's a progression / breaking point thing... Like the kid isn't disciplined to begin with, progressed to where he can't be controlled, etc, etc. I don't know... At one point the fmother was like what do you recommend... I didn't say anything... Uh a shot of ativan, STAT!
Had my presentation yesterday. Nervous. More so that usual for some reason. I'm actually embarrassed by it... Only critique. You don't treat with phenobarb. I'm just glad it's over. Got to work on my case history now.
Sunday, AM... Neighbor called after church. Mom noticed as well. Mailboxes broken. Is it an act of racism? Or merely coincidence. I mean we are the first 2 houses. We fixed it. I still want to vandal proof... There was this one mailbox. Thick. Anyone to hit that with a bat...
I'm getting sick of it... People using my street as a park and ride, a place to hang out and drink. Seriously. The land across the street is ours. Freaking coffee, beer cans. Need freaking no trespassing or under surveillance or something.

There's something about Russian females... They seem so cut throat to me. But then you meet someone like Natalia...
I don't know who we get our evaluations from... Can we get them from Residents or it's got to be Dr. Bekar? If we can get it from anyone... Dr. Weizmann... I mean, he seriously did think I was good. If not that one chick who is always happy to see a student.
Forgot to add... Yesterday in Cardio clinic the attending explained this ECHO to me and the resident. At one point he's like it went so over his head. That's reassuring... I mean, in the sense that it's OK to be somewhat clueless as a resident. I mean, you are still learning. I feel so much pressure to know... Way more than I do right now in the span of a year... I was sitting next to him this AM in Grand Rounds. He's like does this make sense to you? It was Metabolic Syndrome. He then started ranting about give us something basic!
There's this guy... I thought he was Filipino at first, but Muslim. Found out he's from Burma. He talks to me like we've been friends forever. Calling me Liz, joking with me. It's weird... It throws me off... Like should I know him? Cause to my knowledge, I've never seen him before...
OK, that be it... I guess I'll work on my case history.
