I'm pretty sure I sat in piss...
Firstly they came. Or even more firstly... Went to Quest for my blood draw. I thought I was "late" and therefore would hit a crowd, but I was the only one there, so I was pretty much in and out. He used my left arm when I usually go for my right and he had no issue finding my vein. So I'll let him use whatever arm he wants in the future. I thought I had to piss, usually she measures random protein, but I guess not this time. I will bring my nephro results if I remember... But yeah... I also kinda woke up in the middle of the night and pissed either way, so my first AM isn't as concentrated. But I don't think it needed to be 1st AM anyway.
Got Dunkin Donuts. Once again didn't finish... I mean... I have been finishing my breakfast in the AM most of the time. But then it's been just half a bagel instead of a whole like I used to and... I've also been drinking the fake ensure. My weight has been hovering at 117. But over all I feel like I've been eating more food. So I guess I'm in a good spot? Where I'm not losing weight nor gaining.
OK so they came. I had come down and a certain aunt immediately tells me to "fix my floor", meaning the bathroom. Uh... Why are you telling me this? Like I have any power to fix it. Also... I have been saying to fix it since before the freaking "floor" was an issue. Now it's just compounded! And of course since no one else had to deal with cold showers every AM no one cares. No one will care till the ceiling caves in!
Mall. We decided to eat at Cheesecake Factory. I usually walk down sit by Bloomies and walk back, but this time I just did the 1 direction. Stopped by Hallmark and Bath and Body Works. Walked down to sit. Even before I got to the seats I could smell the piss... I honestly think because of the cold weather homeless people have come in to sit in the mall. I have often seen them sit and eat lunch. Anyway, I sit in a upholstered chair and... I couldn't tell if it was the seat, just the area in general smelt. As I said, I could smell it as I approached. But the thing was the whole seating area was occupied. But then I soon saw another seating area in the wing and decided to change spots. And... I can still smell it! On my jacket, on my pants! Ugh... Soon I see Mom and Tita Nette and they initially sit in the area, but then see me and come to me. I whisper in Mom's ear what had happened and she tells Tita Nette. Tita Nette then thinks it's the guy in our section sitting next to her. No... It's me. Like I kept trying to explain I smelt it in the other section! But no... Eventually Tita Nette makes an excuse to go elsewhere to charge her phone and Mom goes back to the regular section because of the smell. I asked her if she smelt anything there. No. But then she told Tita Neng and... She said she smelt it and was wiping down the seat! Either way... When we got back home I took off my pant and long john and I could smell it there. EW!!! It's probably on my undies and thighs too, but I didn't strip that far down / shower. Technically urine is sterile. Lol!
Celebrated Tita Nette's bday at Cheesecake factory. Lol. I needed to take a pic of her and her nachos. Kinda blurry... I need to remember to shop Elliot into something.
Anyway during lunch they kept laughing at Jhumna's comment about the "Papel". Mom was like what paper? But then... Tita Neng asked you can get your marriage blessed? Yes... Well, only newly weds. And... I had thought you needed to get something from your pastor, so... As I said, not really just a "Cultural Catholic". But then again, with money who knows. But yeah, not any more. You do still need to prove a valid Catholic Marriage and to be in "good standing". You just don't need that proof from a priest. Oh yeah, she also favored a comment that said AMDG. So there's that.
Dream. I was at Queens. But no one was there but sparkyboy and I. sparkyboy makes some comment that he could take the train to so and so for dinner and round trip would be back home. He then semi pushes me out of the door directly to a monorail type system and the door closes before he can get on. He assures me it's OK and he'll meet me. As I said, I have no clue where I was going. I knew it was past in my dream it was Jamaica station, when I guess it would be Queensboro Plaza? And like I said, it loops back around. So I got off somewhere and wandered around thinking... I could not survive in the city! I then for some reason bump into geebs and tell him I'm waiting for sparkyboy, but I have no clue where we're supposed to meet. So he and I wander around this train station looking for him.

Matt Maher keeps promoting this CCM band Village Lights. I "know" of some of the members from various podcast eps of The Untitled Catholic Podcast, which was done by a local priest, his brother and the youth director for the diocese. The local priest is now the vocations director for the diocese. Oh yeah and his brother is the tour manager for Toby Mac who is like the Justin Timberlake of some Christian band DC Talk. As in they broke up and he went solo. ANYWAY!!! They had guests Ike Ndolo and Ricky Vazquez in the past and I guess they joined up with some girl to form a band. I googled. Yup, Catholic. They basically all did solo work on the Catholic convention circuit and joined up. I haven't listened to their music... Not sure if I will. Don't need a new CCM / Catholic artist right now. But yeah... I'm always intrigued by the sole girl singer in a group of guys... Lol. That was long winded to get to that point.
Semi related... I've said it before, I have trouble identifying (?) with women. I was listening to Catholic Answers and they have a guy call in about the Brown Scapular how some opponents to it, that it's superstitious, like just wearing it will give you salvation. And... That Mary is the instrument of that salvation, etc. The guy asks what makes it different / more powerful to the Crucifix. The answer was sometimes people have different devotions. Like... I never felt the scapular was a Marian devotion. I've often said I struggle with Marian devotion even when I've grown up Catholic / Filipino... Like even in my Rosary or my intercessional prayers even when I pray the Hail Mary all my thoughts are toward Jesus. Even before that... I was thinking of removing my Mary medal and just leaving my Cross, now I'm thinking... Should I remove the Scapular? But like I said... I never felt the scapular was Marian.
Getting bored with Duolingo. It might be because even when I did the checkpoint to skip to Unit 2, I'm continuing with 1 because I'm OCD and must do it all! But like I said, I'm getting bored and I'm not learning anything new. I feel like they're just using the same vocab in different ways. I don't even know how to explain it. And at this point I'm not even paying attention to like plural / subject vs objective, etc. Like I just do the lesson to get the lesson in for the day.

I posted the pic of the Filet-o-Fish hat to 7500centfish and Mom and Mom was insistent they are different hats. They're not! She's then like, "Is that a priest?" Yes. There are at least 4 priest in that pic. Lol! Anyway, I shamelessly asked for a hat, but no response. Doesn't hurt asking!
7500centfish asked me what I wanted to do next weekend. "Whatever you like..." Inserts Coming to America gif! HAHAHAHA!!! I'd prefer to stay around LI for reasons... But don't really know what to do. Like what is even around here! I hardly know the place! LOL!
7500centfish got an escape room game. I was like as long as we don't need to dance to escape. LOL! We can play it during the holidays. Along with The Catholic Card game!

This thread could have probably used it's own paragraph... Basically he goes on to say if he were to do all these things at once he would have been thrown out of his parish. Exactly. He mentioned baby steps. I feel like Fr. I has been trying to do this. Like... I remember his early homilies about dressing for Mass and don't call him at 3AM when someone is dying. Not in that sense... But like it's a process, call him at the first sign of sickness. And like I said, he brought the tabernacle back, the statues, a new chapel. Not sure where he is on the other stuff... But yeah, it's a slow process and I see younger priests moving toward things like this.
