Same old stuff

I just finished Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, but I'll get to that later.

So went to my room last night. My VCR was up there for the weekend and decided to bring my DVD and watch Tigerland. I did watch part of the commentary. Nothing memorable about Colin Farrell. Kept talking about Tom Guiry, you know the cute *kid* from the Sandlot. I like that movie. Anyway, when I first saw the movie, I was like, that kid looks too young to be in war. But I suppose that is the point. He was also in U571 with Matthew Settle. I also had an epiphany that I'm connected to Colin Farrell but have forgotten it. Oh well.

Well, TC to Melissa Joan Hart to Kerry Norton to Jamie Bamber to Matthew Settle to Tom Guiry to Colin Farrell. It was different though, but that’s all I remember now.

Dion was showing his yearbook to someone and I had the realization that he is so young. I mean the rest of us are all college or out of college age and he just graduated from Gradeschool. God, years from now, I'll be amazed Angelo and Alex are grown up.

I'm in broadway and someone asked why doesn't anyone dress for the theater anymore. I almost had a hissy fit when TC went in jeans and a sweatshirt. Anyway, I said I think it’s weird when people dress very fancy in ballgown and tux. Well that is fine, but at least its not in costume. I mean some people actually do that, like going to see The Phantom of the Opera dressed up as Phantom. That is just psychotic. I felt weird when wearing an X Files shirt at a Sci-fi convention! I didn't plan to, it was a coincidence. There is a convention at my college every year and we decided to go once we were in the car.

Speaking of Broadway, I want to give Cabaret a second chance. I saw the movie and I was like, what the!?! But then John Stamos was on Carson’s show and he made it sound so appealing. Maybe if I saw the musical it would be better. Anyway, maybe you notice it more, but since then I keep hearing things about Berlin at the time, how is was the hot bed for Homosexual Activity before the Nazis locked them all up in camps and stuff. I saw a thing on my Priscilla DVD which mentioned it, saw part of Bent which has Jude Law in it somewhere as a Nazi Stormtrooper. I am in the middle of the R versions. There is an NC17 version on my IO thing. Another thing I learned from my Priscilla DVD was how the term Drag came about. It was from the 1600s and theater. The men who dressed as women were called Drag Roles cause the dresses dragged on the floor. Ingenious!

OK, more on the pizza. When they say NY pizza do they mean the city? The state? NY city suburbs including Greenwich Connecticut? I don't know. Have I actually had NY pizza? It’s weird, when I think NYC I think Manhattan. I think of Queens as Queens, etc, etc.

OK, now to Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. OK, I had always wanted to see it, but never got the chance too. I only started recording Jude Law movies and noticed it was on this weekend. That was a good movie, even when Jude Law was in it for a minute. But the ending was kinda stupid. I mean they made it seem like some sort of Voodoo crap did it. Plus most of Jude’s stuff had to be dubbed cause he was a foul mouth. In the middle of the movie, I wanted to stop it and read the book. I really got to stop that. I mean I have no imagination. All books I like have to do purely with the storyline. Well unless I read it in school and it is explained to me. Anyway, reminded me when we went to Savannah. They had decided to go cause all of Queens was watching the show of the same name. The movie had just come out that year so everyone was talking how this and that was in the movie. That they had to make the signature statue for the film. Anyway, now I wish I had paid more attention. I actually like tours. I loved going to new Orleans and taking the tours there. I wanted to go around Savannah some more and check out the shops. We just took the tour and headed back to HH.
