Shopping spree!!!
Went on a shopping spree at work. Lol... What did I buy first? I think it may have been tissue paper, like the ones you put in packages / gift bags. Got some off amazon in bulk. I could have gotten it at the mall tomorrow, but... I plan to just run in and out and not hang with the aunts. I think I then bought candles. I remembered they sell candles in "Hallmark" and I saw they had a 2 for 1 deal, so I got the aunts candles. I'm hoping to get them blessed next weekend when I have my Confession Session. I'm such a dork! I was then thinking of what to get the boys. I asked 7500centfish if they'd be able to cash checks if they don't have bank accounts. Yes... But she thinks they have accounts. So checks for them. Prev year I gave them generic GCs, but then they had charges to activate them. No thanks. Then the guilt hit... Alex is my Godson and I'm getting the girls Catholic stuff. My reasoning last year was... We're a Catholic family, regardless of how you raise your kids. This is a Christian holiday. If you have issues, why are you celebrating? And all I get for my Godson is a gift card? If anything over anyone I have an obligation to him. So... I thought of buying him a youcat. One more for teens / young adults, vs the kids one I got the girls. But then... Part of me feels like... It's too soon to get him. He needs something more basic. But then... I really don't know him. In terms of any religious / faith ideas he has. So... If I do end up giving it to him now, I feel like I need to include a letter explaining why I'm gifting it to him. Adding... He's an adult, he can do whatever, but in a way it's me making up for things and read it if he can.
Am I a nut? Fr. I once said in his #espresso... Or am I mixing things? There was something about trying to evangelize and if you are no longer preached to it's like you are no longer cared for...
They're coming tomorrow and I already told Mom. I'll drive her to the mall, but I'm just gonna run my errands and then she can hang and eat with her siblings. I need to pick up my candles, buy more gift cards.
Mom said we had to pray the Rosary at 9PM tonight. She started to say why but then stopped or something... I knew it was the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe soon and there was an indulgence attached, but I didn't know what the requirements were, so I had suspicions. But then when I asked before 9 she said it's for Our Lady of Guadalupe to "bless us". Ok... I don't really know what that means. But then Mom was saying her classmate this that, she called Tita Evelyn. She tried to call 7500centfish. I said, "What was the reason?" and Mom misheard and said... "Oh, I forgot to call 7500centfish." But then her phone when straight to voicemail. Lol. Either way... If it was for an indulgence... Does she realize she needs to pray for the Pope's intentions, go to confession and Mass (apparently it includes receiving the Eucharist), so... I should probably be more into indulgences since no one is gonna pray for me after I die.
I ordered stamps and they are finally shipped! Mom asked if I got them yet. No. No rush. I have till February. FYI, Christmas doesn't end till Epiphany or Candlemas.

I had lumpia in my pocket and texted immediate family (From now on I'll refer to it as iFamily chat) to remind myself. 7500centfish equated it to Elf on the Shelf or Mensch on the Bench. Uh... Lumpia in my pocket isn't as catchy. But... I had fried fish for lunch and Marna had lumpia as well and at times they have shrimp lumpia so I chopped it up to see what was inside. Meat. So I just put it in my pocket for later. It was in plastic wrap, but I could still smell it all day. At least I didn't put that vinegar / garlic thing!
I went to target after work to pick up things I ordered... Oh yeah... That was part of my shopping spree. Like I said, I canceled a redbubble order and got it anyway. So I used the money to buy some stuff. Pads, shampoo, body wash. Anyway... I mentioned going to Long John Silvers after work. But according to the interwebs, it's closed, along with the KFC it shared a kitchen with. NO!!! FYI, Dr. L liked going there after a costco run. As I said, for some reason he goes to our costco and not his...
