I just got back from my heme appt, well I ate too, but... I just remember the 1st time I had an iron infusion I was extremely tired too. Is this a side effect? I don't see anything online. Anyway, I assume she goes over my record so when she asks me questions I feel like I'm just updating her from the last doctor I see. Either way... I think the last time I saw her she d/c me b/c I was scheduled for surgery and my Hgb was as high as I've ever been and my period was light to non existent. So when I saw her again she said, "bleeding again?" Yes. Well not at the moment. But she asked what the plan was. They're gonna start me on a pill. I then updated her on the meds I'm taking now. Including the provera. That stopped it? Yes. Uh... Then I mentioned the increase in the iron. She said don't bother. My body will only absorb so much orally. Anyway, I have a follow up next week. Same day as my GYN follow up. I think that appt is at 8 something, go to work afterward, then... I don't think I can pull a full day even with the 8AM appt, b/c he's slow... But then my Heme appt is 6:30. I could probably work till 5:45...
I then asked Marna to work 10:30 to 6:30... "Why? What happened?" "I need to meet with my priest." I don't know if it registered with her, but lol...
I'm pretty sure Marna told Dr. L about all my MD appts, but today it seemed like it was a new thing to him. He was questioning me... You're taking vitamins, right? So I named them off... "You need to exercise too." I don't have the exercise tolerance right now...
Anniversary of my Baptism tomorrow. I just want to quote the entire
Romans 6! So good... As I said, I wanted to post something profound on instagram, about dying in Christ. In addition, I'm gonna go to confession prior to Mass. It's all about dying to sin, dying in Christ.
Elaine gave birth. Welcome to the world Emma!
Saw a documentary on Notre Dame on ABC. Was not expecting that! First off... People on reddit were skeptical. That it would be some secular thing or focusing on the art. In a sense it did... But it mostly focused on the firefighters and what they did to put out the fire. The dilemma... Do you risk lives to save the church? And... They did. But then they all survived. Honestly, I think it would make a good movie. There was this portion about them rescuing the relics. Mostly the crown of thorns, a nail and... There was another relic in the safe... But I remember the day of, they saved the "Body of Christ" which the news media said was a statue. Lol. Anyway, that wasn't mentioned.
I was on the phone and people kept calling my line. I asked Marna if these people called the regular line while I was on the phone b/c... I was on for over 30 mins. Marna would give me confused answers that I had to repeat myself. I eventually call them back and... One of them was in the office already! "You're calling my phone!"
Podcasts
Catholic Influncers podcast. Since quarantine they've been focusing on the Sunday gospel readings. Last Sunday was the one about the Landowner. I don't know why... But something Fr. Rob said hit me. About... Not focusing on other's graces, but your own. Not Fr. Rob exactly, but... It's not about the laborers but the landowner and his generosity.
The Catholic Talkshow. Had an archbishop. They're "protesting" with a Eucharistic procession at some point. In San Fran (?), the limits on worship are absurd. Like... You're only allowed 10 people, even in a large cathedral, but are allowed 15 if you're streaming and those 15 aren't Mass goers, but production staff. There are also limits to outdoor Mass. I don't know... It's weird, b/c I'm always hearing about democratic cities shutting down again, but then I don't hear things like that happening in NY. In addition, there has been no change in capacity, still 25%, but they're not enforcing it. Once again, my parish seems to be doing well. Anyway, I also hear re democratic cites... The reason there aren't spikes in NY is b/c we killed everyone.
I guess previous was youtube vids... But there are a bunch of vids I want to see, but... I'm stuck "watching" the Mets.
Capturing Christianity... He's an evangelical who is friends with Matt Fradd, a Catholic podcaster. And... I forgot how, but he somehow got to have a conversation with Bishop Barron who answered his questions. So I guess he invited him to his podcast.
There is also a Word On Fire version of the Clerically Speaking ep.
Oh and The Cordial Catholic and Gospel Simplicity are talking tomorrow. As I said, I feel like CC keeps bringing it to his conversion story. GS... He seems too ecumenical, but in a negative way. But... I'm interested.
Texts.
Jennie is getting a Yamaha P-125 in white. I approve. But I suggest getting an actual sustain pedal instead of the foot switch it comes with.
I have to Lol... durlxnemesis posted about the baby news onto family chat. But it's hilarious everyone is congratulating family chat when no one from Chicago is on it! I texted Elaine and greeted Emma a happy berfday.
I'm not getting my texts on my tablet for some reason. At least live. 7500centfish texted me about Dad's pasta salad. I don't remember him making pasta salad...
I can tell I'm on my mend... My appetite is growing. I want mint chocolate chip ice cream. I also want something salty...
Oh yeah... I was craving a gyro. So I tried this local joint. Uh... The lamb meat was way too greasy. Then the "white sauce" tasted like mayo. I mean... It's OK for a craving, but I've had better. In addition, it got gross really quick. I need to try Halal guys.
Bloated and sleepy...
