The sins are piling up. And I legit have to confess... B/c of something at work. I can imagine Fr. I's counseling, if any. He's too soft.
Anyway... Since the baseball season is over. TV!!!
Evil. I tried! I tried to watch and not nit pick the Catholicism. But it was so hard! First off so cliche... An ex Catholic, yet her children in school uniforms.. In a supposed heavy Catholic themed show you'd assume Catholic over generic private school. Then... The guy is basically working for the church to examine, in this ep if anything further needs to be done re exorcism, possession. At one point the chick is like... Ugh, I forgot the exact quote, but I pretty much predicted what he would say. Basically the Church does have... Protocol in dealing with claims. Not sure they have a "CSI" like team. And... I'm pretty sure it's you see a psych yourself and if they find nothing wrong then proceed. As I tweeted... I don't think the Church has the resources for all this! I then tweeted... "I swear, if there's not a priest on this show..." Turns out the main guy is a seminarian!?! In a 5 year program. LOL!!! He's not even in clerics and the chick is infatuated with him. :: Rolls eyes :: Seriously... I guess it takes place in NY. I swear I spots places around Queens. So what diocese is this? The archdiocese or Brooklyn? The demon looked really cheesy. Uh... Isn't 3Am peak demon time? Seriously... Get a good Catholic researcher! As I said for The Exorcist, would have made the show so much more better. And of course they need to throw in a pedophile joke. Ugh...
Prodigal Son. Better show vs Evil, but it so reminded me of Hannibal, in story, cinematography. But then... As someone commented on reddit, prior to Silence of the Lambs serial killers were just crazy people killing. But now they're smart psychopaths.
Notes.
Yesterday was the feast of St. Therese of Lisieux, who I thought
7500centfish was named after... It is the first female saint since her bday. But then I asked Mom and she said... No. She's named after St. Anne, b/c of the date of her Baptism. Her Baptism saint is St. T of Avila... Happy sort of feast day, I guess.
I'm so sexist! Whenever they have a woman guest on Catholic Answers I skip. The topics are all... Fertility, NPF, romance and friendship. Can we just have like normal topics? Seriously... I'm a horrible woman.
Oh...
durlxnemesis texted me asking for a Franklin Expedition rec to read. I haven't read any... And I can barely finish the Terror. I suck.
