In honor of Barricade Day, I listened to Les Mis at work... And by listen, I mean watched off my tablet the various anniversary concerts. I then watched the movie since there was no Mets game tonight. Got me thinking... What is my dream cast? Michael Ball as Marius obviously. Now... I'm going with regardless of age of other cast, going on voice / performance... Plus I'm going with just the anniversary concerts and the movie. Not recordings / original casts... Now, I like Colm as Valjean, but... I kinda think I want Alfie Boe in as Valjean and put Colm Wilkinson as the Bishop. I liked his take in the movie. Then maybe b/c all I've heard was Colm, when I first heard Alfie Boe since Bring Him Home... Whoa. Blown away. Then for Javert... The TAC guy... Lol, I don't know his name. Fantine... Anne Hathaway. Enjolras. As much as I love Aaron Tveit as a person, I thought his voice was weak for the part. Ramin Karimloo. Cosette. I'll go with Judy Kuhn. Eponine. Samantha Barks. Tenardiers... TAC. Did I miss anyone? I guess I could go Grantaire. Anthony Crivello. Gavroche? The movie kid. Young Cosette... I kinda like TAC, but I feel bad when the gun goes off or the balloon pops.
Turns out the peeps doing the ceiling / roof are Marlyn's husband, bro in law and son. Lol... They were in my room. It was clean. But... My room is basically a shrine to my obsessions. :p
Sick again. I was just getting over my last sickness. But my throat is scratchy again and my nose is dripping. Ugh...
Dr. L and co are coming back tomorrow, but late. Dunno if I'll see them before they come. Kinda glad they're coming. It will give me things to do... But then he'll probably want to relax before doing more billing.
