and they look like life.

Three drabbles that show in a way a bit of father's adoration for their daughters, the fathers being Zanetti, Burdisso and Mascherano; inspired by the pictures on it, and with no other intention that talking about the baby girls (meaning completely gen and not x-posted). It's father's day, so let's say it's my way to celebrate it.

.and they look like life.
images from 'when the curios girl realizes she's under the glass', talks about zanetti's family, burdisso's older daughter and wife, mascherano's daughter and lavezzi's son. rated g.

1. Sol.

Javier sees the small dress in one of the many places that sell kid's clothes down Avenida Santa Fe on his latest trip to Buenos Aires. He's over there because he has to meet with some people about the foundation. Paula is at home with the kids, her parents and part of the family; Javier's brother and his wife are there too, with their own kids. There's a bunch of people waiting for him to come back, it feels wonderful; but when he sees the dress all he thinks about his Sol - his beautiful young girl, her blonde curls that come from Paula and the big smile that she got from him. He thinks in the way she lifts up her arms when he walks into a room and asks for him ('¡papá!'). Sol, what a very right name for the little sunshine in his life - yes, Paula is his inspiration and Nacho is surely a reason to go on every day, but Sol is the light of his days: his first kid, his always baby girl.

Zanetti buys the dress, he'll hide it when he gets home without any other presents for the other children there; he'll find an opportunity to put it on Sol and both of them will surprise Paula and Nacho wearing it.

2. Angie.

Belén hates it when Angie dresses in black, she says that black is a color that's too attached to death and that the girl has already had enough experiences about that like to have to deal with more. Nico doesn't agree neither understands that. He does know everything that Angie went through and that they did, but he doesn't see how that, which ended some time ago, can still be ruling Angie's life or, in this case, her dress code.

Plus, Angelina's skin complexion and her dark hair look very well in a color like black, that's why Nico got her this dress; that's why he's right now adjusting the central bow, to make sure it looks perfect. Angie notices her father's fixation and puts her small hand on Nico's fingers, stopping him.

"Ya está papi," she smiles softly and he nods, moves away a bit and stands up, stares at his baby - she looks splendid, Belén won't disagree with that.

3. Lola (& Tomás).

They spend half an hour laughing at him, Mascherano decides to ignore them. He's very happy with the dress he got for Lola and no one, not even half of the national team telling him that it's ugly can ruin his mood. Because it's French and they know a shit about fashion, so screw them.

It's actually a cute dress in his opinion and he's sure that both his baby and her mom are going to agree with him, he doesn't care what the others (Maradona included, for God's sake!) think: that it comes from a crappy place in Buenos Aires more than a high couture store in Marseilles.

The only one that doesn't laugh is Lavezzi and Masche is half thankful half intrigued of the reason, so he asks. Lavezzi grins at him as an answer and grabs his phone, stares at it while pressing some buttons, clearly looking for something, and when he finds it he turns the phone towards Mascherano so he can see.

There's a picture of a smiling little boy, who Masche knows is Tomás, wearing a shirt in colors pretty alike to the ones Lola's dress has.

"Ahora que combinan pueden salir juntos."

Masche can't find a reason to disagree, and approves the idea with a wide open smile.

Notes:
'Papá' is dad.
'Ya está papi' is 'it's okay daddy'.
'Ahora que combinan pueden salir juntos' is 'Now that they mach they can go out together'
Belén is the name of Burdisso's wife, their kid faced leukemia a few years ago. Paula and Ignacio (Nacho) are Zanetti's wife and son, respectively.
And thanks to my very own Gringo for the beta ♥
