I helped paint my nice aunt's house today. Her youngest son, my cousin, was there; he's 19. My snobby aunt and her husband were also there. This is the conversation:
Cousin: *walks in* (He's a bit emo, so his nails are painted black. He has really pretty hands, which do not help his case.)
Snobby aunt: "Drew, I've been meaning to ask about your nails. Is that, um, a trend, or, uh, your style?"
Cousin: "It's my style." (This is true, because no other boy in his neighborhood paints his nails.)
Snobby aunt: "Oh, uh, okay."
Snobby aunt's husband: "You're not turning funny on us, are you?"
Cousin: *laughs* "No."
Snobby aunt's husband: "Okay, just making sure. Not that there's anything wrong with that."
Snobby aunt: "No, no. We'd still love you anyway. Mm-hm."
Cousin: "No, I'm straight."
Snobby aunt: "Oh, well, okay then."
Snobby aunt's husband: "Phew, I feel better." *laughs*
Cousin: *leaves room*
Man, I saw that coming a mile away.
