interested in the band Within Temptation, my sister's music partner has performed several times with them in Europe and recorded some songs. So, theoretically I know them. And the band Nightwish, which said music partner has also worked with.
My sister wants me to gather ideas for her band's image, because they're sending their demos and portfolio to Sony soon. They don't have an official name (band members dropping out and other drama), so my sister wants me to come up with some. They're specifically looking for ancient languages/religious references/verging on goth stuff. Hence, she contacted me, so I can use my illustrious MBC degree.
I reminded her that I can sing higher than her (something she prizes) and that I play marimba and timpani (something she really prizes). She said, "How important is Boston to you?", implying an urgency to the question. I'm not sure yet. She also said she'd make me a shirt that said "I earned a bachelor's degree and all I got was this lousy recording deal."
