You know my feeling on this. I know that a LOT of social programs can only do so much because they only have the income for so many. I know of women's shelters that have had to turn people away because they were full, or were only able to keep people for a certain abount of time because of limitations on budgets and issues with the amount of space available vs the amounts necessary.
Ask Laura about the kids in the kitchen program- she said that some of those kids were so poor that they wolfed down their snack without one complaint. You could have money to set up more things like that and provide nutritious meals for those kids whose parents spend their welfare cheques on booze.
You could provide funding for programs like your mom is involved in, looking after disabled kids for a pi
You could provide scholarships and bursaries and mentoring programs for students like yourself who actively want to pursue Social Work out of the goodness of their own hearts but can't afford to do so without huge loans - you could meet with these people yourself because you are an excellent judge of character and could easily tell if they were for real or not.
I know that you will always hold your idealism, and if you ever had that kind of money, you will use as much of it as you can for the greater good because that's just the way you are.
