And if you had asked me whether or not it was possible for someone to fly under their own power and use magic a few months ago, I would have thought that wasn't possible either.

Magic is powered with mana from a linker core, but the term 'magic' is a misnomer. As it has follows rules and predictable results that can be measured and observed, it really is nothing more than another form of science.

Or he can slow down time, or he can be in more than one place at the same time. Who knows? It's all about the christmas spirit.

Being in more than one place would be too confusing unless you literally became multiple individuals, which would have to involve highly advanced transmutation of energy or matter as to avoid conservation of mass. Slowing down time should, in theory, be the the same as accelerating yourself, which has all sorts of draw backs.
