Still trying to get things up and running. *sigh*
Finally got everything re-installed, and opened the game before I pasted in my backup files, and all the hoods were there. Great!
Pasted in my backups, opened the game, the hoods were gone.
Deleted my CC, started the game, no change.
I uninstalled AL and started the game, my hoods were back, so I'm thinking there's a conflict somewhere.
So now I'm in the process of re-downloading AL. Luckily for me, the only hood I really ever play in is a custom one I made, so this time if all the hoods are still there after re-installing AL, I'm just going to paste in that particular one instead of replacing them all, and see if that works.
If not, I'll "reset" the game according to these instructions, and then try pasting in my custom hood. (I wish I'd known about that method before I uninstalled/re-downloaded everything!)
And maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to continue both my legacies WITH Apartment Life.
