I wouldn't mind telling my crew about the pinpoint, if I didn't have to tell Bea first.
It's not as if there's a rule about it, but who else could I go through? Tom? Pickett? Tom would want to destroy it...he still has a little part of him that wants to destroy the boats. His loyalty to me has always been a little grudging. This pinpoint technology could be the wedge that finally drives our factions apart...
And of course Alex can't know. She knows we hide things from her. This wouldn't be any different. She'd never suspect.

Bea will never be content to use this thing the way I intended when I asked Elizabeth for it. Bea will find loopholes in our sentence and exploit them. Why should she give a shit what publicizing this alien technology would do to the rest of the world? So long as she gets what she wants, not even my wishes matter.
