Irulan was immensely glad she had no children appearing out of nowhere, they may be cute and cuddly but she knew nothing
of childcare. She put her books down and thanked the Great Mother for sparing her.

And then the door opened.

Two children entered the room, the boy appraised it then smiled. "Ah, mother, there you are."

Irulan turned and stared at the two children looking at her expectantly. "What?"

[atreides_twins]

"You're very hard person to find, Mother." Ghanima said. "We have been looking for you all over."

[irulan_atreides]

"What?" Irulan repeated again, "But I-- what?"

[atreides_twins]

"Looking for you," Leto repeated.

[irulan_atreides]

"Why?"

[atreides_twins]

"You're our mother," Leto said and Ghanima finished, "I think that is reason enough."

[irulan_atreides]

"I am your what?" Irulan said, she seemed on the edge of hysteria.

[atreides_twins]

"Mother," Ghanima repeated patiently, "I am Princess Royal Ghanima and this is Prince Royal Leto II. We are the heirs to the Golden Lion Throne."

[irulan_atreides]

"No, you're not," Irulan said automatically then stopped, "Wait, did you say Leto II? Does that mean I marry Duke Leto Atreides???"

[atreides_twins]

Leto and Ghanima giggled. "Of course not."

[irulan_atreides]

"Then who--?"

[atreides_twins]

They shared a glance, "We rather not say."
