How to Get Denied for a US visa

Sep 14, 2010 23:59

  1. Be single
  2. Between the ages 20-35
  3. Have less than 500USD salary per month
  4. Have a immediate relative (i.e. brother) who is a permanent resident
  5. apply with 2 more family members of the same status

Take note of #4. That makes a huge impact on the officer's decision.

So yeah... we got denied... what I'm feeling right now... ANNOYED, FRUSTRATED, DISAPPOINTED, INSULTED AND RIPPED-OFF.

I've been depressed enough about the "increase" we got this September and knowing that because of it, I was denied a visa makes it even worse.

Gotta love retail therapy.. I got myself a cheap Sesame Street shirt from SM, jelly lens, and a few cable straps from CDRking and watched Resident Evil: Afterlife right after the appointment.
If it was already Sept 15, I would have gone straight to our LYS (local yarn store) and stocked up on cotton yarns for endless knitting of dishcloths and other useful stuff.

We won't be reapplying any time soon... seriously. I lost the motivation to go see my brother, check out the sights in SF and go shopping. So... byebye cheap way to go to Taiwan... Hello Japan? We could make use of our money somewhere else closer to home like Japan or Taiwan or anywhere here in Asia.

rant, trip
