Japan Trip: Day 1
Japan!!! My dream come true.
We left Manila at around 11am. Arrived in Japan around 4pm.
I watched a couple of Japanese movies on the plane. The first one was Time Traveler and the next one, I forgot the title (it was another drama and I didn't get to finish it).
Passed through immigration and customs. Found our airport limo service driver. We got a rental phone and another SIM from SoftBank (the deposit was so expensive). The drive to Tokyo took around an hour or more. Our cousin, her son and my mom's old Japanese friend and helped us settle in the hotel.
They then brought us to a tonkatsu place for early dinner.
The place had an open kitchen so you'll see them frying the tonkatsu and cutting the cabbage. The first floor had a bar like layout where the table was surrounding the open kitchen.

The rice, cabbage and miso soup was unlimited. You can just ask for more if you want to.
Don't ask me where this place was since I had no idea. I think it was still around the Roppongi area though.
After dinner, my mom's friend drove us around Tokyo. We passed by Shibuya (oh yes we drove by the crossing :P) and the surrounding areas including Harajuku. He then brought us to his son's day care business.
The place was small but it has all things cute...

They served us some iced coffee and cookies. We stayed for a bit. The train tracks was just beside the day care so every time the train passes by (probably every 5-10 mins) we would just look out the window.
After the visit, we were on the way back to the hotel but we passed by Tokyo Tower first since it was pretty near.

We went back to the hotel, rested a bit then went to our cousin's apartment since it was just a few minutes walk away. We then went to donki (ドンキホテ) to buy some food and drinks.
Walked back to the hotel without our cousin (woohoo we already know our way around that area)
And that ends day 1. ^^
