Planning on a photo shoot the next few days... and of course I'll post it up here ;)
So the story behind the action figure...
I went to the post office and had my 2500 ready. I presented the notice and they got my box. It was big! So the guy at the post office showed me the customs paper that had the computation... The good news is that the tax was for both of the figures I ordered... which they declared was 160usd (x__X whyyyy) anyway, here's the computation:
$160
x
48.88 exchange rate
=
P7820.80 dutiable value
782.08 duty (10%)
250.00 import procq fee
265.00 doc.stamps
----------

x(12%)
P1094.15 VAT

CDS - 265
------------
P2391
there 110 left was for the post office for holding and stuff
This is what I don't get... Why get the VAT after adding all the extras O_o
Well I couldn't really discuss this with the post office since they had no control over it. So the guy there gave me a number to call customs... Haven't called them yet because I don't have the time.
Bureau of Customs
Central Mail Exchange
Center, Domestic Road
Pasay City
Tel.: 854 5448
Oh yeah the document also states that the parcel arrived December 3. Imagine how long it took them to process it O_o The post office sent the notice on December 9... not including weekend it's 5 days? O_o Talk about inefficient!
So I paid for it and went on my way to the office. I opened the box and was welcomed by disks of gray foam as padding. Then I saw the box...
I was expecting the box to be more square-ish rather than flat... You know like the designer toys with plastic holding it up and as a sort of padding. I then took some photos in the car with different backgrounds since we were moving... Hard though because the roads were bumpy.
Anyway... unboxing will also be in a next post... I can't seem to access my other memory card yet... And I still need to unbox the other one to check it's number..
The good and bad news about the number......
Bad news: It's more than a hundred which meant they didn't follow the order of the people who bought (A friend said she was first in line and she only got 41! Another friend was before me in line and she got 45! Something's definitely wrong there... I should have gotten around that number... oh yeah, both of them are living in Taiwan right now)
Good news: This one is one of my favorite numbers... 117! When I saw it was like... mad at the same time happy because I like the number.
Anyway I should stop now... Have to get ready for work...
oh yeah..
ichigo_sweet, happy birthday!!!!!!
