yesterday...
we finally got something to code. as in seriously... i've been wanting to have something to do that's really challenging.
first, so that we can get a grasp on what to do, we copied a code for making a web part. we had to make it work and it should read the contents of a list inside the sharepoint website.
we started last thursday and suddenly the power went out and the servers were down for a while... the web.config file got problems so we were stuck with nothing at the end of thursday.
so yesterday we started again... i finally found the error and got the web part to work. now the next challenge... we had to make that web part get data from a DataTable. sounds easy? not really...
the hard part was that we had to get data from a web service. that web service apparently lacks methods and only returns XmlElement[] or XmlElement. how the hell can you convert that to a DataTable. i was hopeful that i could find something on the internet about that... i thought wrong...
i was looking forward to this module of the project since i really wanted a challenge. i really didn't know that we were only having that method... and what's more... we only had 3-4 hours to do it last night... well, we didn't finish it... my teammate doesn't have any idea what i was doing with the code...
no worries though... our TL already has a working code and he just wanted to know if we could do it... i should just come in early on monday, try to finish it before TL comes in (he comes in at around 3-4pm so i have time... hehehe)
oh yeah, thanks to
habeo for helping me through ym ^^
today...
our original mandarin teacher came back... she asked us to read "shi zi he lao shu" (the lion and the mouse) cute kiddie poem...
we watched 10,000bc... well as i had expected, i would have a lot of side comments with this one... hahaha...
