My grade 7s had to give presentation about Canada today; their last assignment before moving on to the last unit. Some of them were very good, others not so good, but they were all fairly entertaining if only for the interesting mispronounciations. Napanee, Ontario (Avril Lavigne's hometown) was consistenly referred to as 'Nippon.' Wrong country guys. Bass guitar was also pronounced as bass (the fish), and cedar as cheddar. There was also some accidental profanity and double-entendres. I love listening to their adorable little accidents and Denglish grammar.
I'm getting very sad already at the thought of leaving. I'm going to miss my adorable little kids so much.
