RAM

Went to pull some RAM out of a desktop in my workroom, and almost tripped over the tub that was sitting on the floor. Which has been sitting on the floor for about 8 months. That I can't even name the contents thereof, having little memory of ever packing it. Must start storing loose hard drives in some dry corner, because stacking them randomly about the room is really troublesome when you're looking for a safe place to set down whatever awkward armload of stuffs.

Also, why was PC100 so damn popular 7-10 years ago? I have a gazillion sticks of PC100 RAM harvested from a growing pool of old desktops, and what I actually need is 2 fricking sticks of PC133 RAM. Gah, I decided to try the PC100 modules, on the basis that PC133 is possibly maybe backward-compatible to PC100. Possibly. Hopefully? Oh well, let it be on my head.
