(no subject)
Hullo there, and another 3+ months have passed. What have I been doing?
Well... I see that last time Type-0 was in the mail. It now has 110+ hours on the clock, and I'm not even in the last chapter. >.>;; I keep getting sidetracked by the optional practice missions (practice indeed...their level is way higher than the level of the story missions they show up between) and the quests and all the fancy dungeons... Next story mission is recommended level 36. Practice missions right now are recommended 46+. My people are level 58-64. Oops. :X I just went and did one run of Yubanla Volcano, only managed to kill half my people as decoys as I slowly whittled down the health of all enemies, one at a time, on King.
Also tried the Genbu kurebasu (whatever the latter word means, I have no clue and dictionaries are distinctly unhelpful with it) for a bit, but the buels in the first room killed me so fast I judged it better to retreat for now. Come back in another 5+ levels maybe. Anyway, I think I've only gotten so far with the dungeons at these levels because I have super-good weapons and accessories due to the Square Enix Members Type-0 page. You get these tickets daily, and you can exchange them for various equips and items that change weekly...the selection's been getting steadily better too.
Next up, Final Fantasy XIII-2! There was a horrible battle involved in getting it. I pre-ordered it back in October, the day Game.co.uk put them up for pre-order. I thought I was done with it, other than making sure my account has enough money close to release date. But what happens? They fail to send me one.
I don't even know.
I tried contacting them but they basically said 'tough luck'. I lost my Crystal Edition AND my pre-order bonuses due to this. All I can say is: NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM GAME.CO.UK! They even reserved the money for the order from my account (didn't actually bill though, let's be thankful for small miracles) and then just waited and waited and waited. A week after release I got an automatic email telling me my order was cancelled.
When I finally got my hands on the game (through a different shop, thank you very much), it proved to be a very entertaining bit. Can't remember how many hours on the clock now, 70+ or thereabouts if I have to make a guess. Played through once, got almost all fragments and am making good progress on the trophies. Got both the DLC costumes and the Sazh episode too (and mentioning DLC makes me remember again all those pre-order goodies I lost >.< ), not regretting getting them although I found myself taking a disliking to Serah's beachwear. Not because what it looks like, but because it's just so ridiculous running through a rainy city full of cie'th constantly assaulting you wearing nothing but that....to mention one example.
Okay, the silly's asleep but I should probably poke him and see if he wants anything from the shop and go buy something to eat... One of these days I'll make a life update instead of a game update. One of these days!
