I honestly never did see Jem.

Watched plenty of Smurfs, He-Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles though. And while I don't remember really watching Transformers, the toys were awesome.

Wow.. I must be just in the right age group (29), because I remember all of these vividly. Having a little sister helps - I saw way, way too much of Jem growing up.

But we're the Misfits,
Our songs are better,
We are the Misfits, the Misfits
And we're gonna get her!

JEM! is truly outrageous, TRULY TRULY TRULY outrageous...
ohhh! JEM!
The music's contagious... outrageous
Jem is my name, no one else is the same
Jem is my name! JEM!

I always cheered for the Misfits. They just seemed way cooler. Jem always had a weird corporate-manufactured Hillary Duff quality to her that I found off-putting, even at 10 years old.

My sister had a Jem and the Holograms T-shirt (I think I have a picture of her wearing it somewhere around here), and several Jem cassette tapes. I know way too much about that show. :)

I think I still have my Jem and the Holograms cassette tape somewhere. My mom stashed it away, probably thinking that she could blackmail me with it someday. She was right. :D

I remember one show where Jem received a bribe from some music exec... to do something.. un-Jem like? Maybe sing someone else's lyrics? :P It was high drama.
