http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4504589.stm Article about a censored Pentagon document leaked in the Italian press. The relevant portion:
A Greek medical student at Bologna University who was surfing the web early on Sunday found that with two simple clicks of his computer mouse he could restore censored portions of the report.
Good grief. This is BAD. The Pentagon has no better sense that to publish a digital document with the full text still embedded, and some black boxes painted across the parts we wanted kept secret? *shakes head* I literally know 12-year-old kids that could produce more secure documents than this. If such a thing is to be published with redactions, print out a hard copy, physically black out the sensitive stuff, then scan it back into the computer as an image file.
