transit

OMG astronomy.

On May 12th, the shuttle Atlantis crossed in front of the sun, and some intrepid soul decided to take a picture. The duration of the transit was only 0.3 seconds and the shuttle was in orbit at a height of 260 km. Holy shit, that's awesome.

This one's even cooler: Atlantis AND Hubble, side by side!

In other news, I am back home and getting ready to move into the House of Champions! In the meantime, however, I have to learn Matlab in the next week, and none of my pirated versions are cooperating. Feh. But the sun is shining and the dog is warm and fluffly, and things are generally good. Oh, and go see Star Trek.
