Briefly, on Basketball II
KU lost.
From an email to my dad (because I knew he'd be curious what I thought about the game):
They kicked us in the teeth, and we couldn't quite come back. We were slightly outcoached (their coach managed our comeback expertly), slightly outplayed, and grossly, grossly out-lucked. I still can't fathom that they went 9/16 (or so) on three point shots in the first half.
Good teams lose games. Great teams lose games. It isn't fun when it happens to your team, and it is less fun when it happens to your team in the tournament. 63 (well, now 67) teams end their tournament with a loss, and this year, Kansas was one of those.
Bummer. :(
