Tired...
Shopping, especially with children in tow, is *exhausting*. Even worse when trying to get them to pick out their own stuff. Much haul, though.
We went to the thrift store first - Brianna needed more pants, Jarod needed a few shirts, and I needed some brown pants. All goals were successful, plus we found a new princess dress for Bri in purple velvet. :) Also, I found boots! Ankle boots in both black and brown, and some knee-high brown boots. Yay! Then the kids got to spend $50 each at ToysRUs, and that was the more tiring part of the day. Trying to get Jarod to look over ALL the stuff and THEN decide, rather than just grabbing the first cool Star Wars thing he saw was kind of hard. ^_^ Brianna wanted fashion dolls, so we walked through the two aisles doing price comparisons and ended up with two Moxie Girl dolls and two extra outfits. She's happy with her haul...but it's kind of weirding me out that instead of changing their shoes, like with Barbies, you pull off their whole FOOT! Gives the designers more freedom to come up with shoes that don't have to slip onto a fixed foot shape, but still...Jarod got a Star Wars Lego set, a stuffed Lego guy, and two Star Wars battle droid figurines. He had a hard time deciding between the droids and a blaster that made noises, but I'm thankful he chose the droids. ^_^ They were really loud blasters!
