(no subject)
So guys, any idea what's going on with my laptop?
It was working fine just a few minutes ago, when while browsing the web (Games Workshop's site, if you must know), everything locked up. My cursor froze over a mouse-over Flash icon, with weird green, blue and black lines over the image. I held down the power button to reboot, got a few flashes of green lines, and the system stopped loading after the Windows logo popped up. Again, I tried a reboot, getting to my desktop, but with flickers of green lines during the boot, and now my entire screen is filled with flickering purple and green lines, and a visible screen refresh bar.
I've scanned for viruses and malware: nothing. Is this a hardware problem? I've looked up similar problems and the closest thing I could find (considering I can't see too well through the screen) is something about moisture getting into circuitry of a digital camera, requiring a total replacement.
So here are my questions: 1. Any idea what the hell is going on?
2. Should I reboot again and see if it goes away?
3. Any good replacement laptops you can recommend, in case it's well and truly fucked?
