I've discovered some new music, and, in the vein of all good music that I find, it makes me shiver when I listen to it. The group is Hybrid, an electronica duo which blends tight breakbeats and Crystal Method-style hard-hitting bass seamlessly with tear-jerkingly beautiful melodies and a live full orchestra.
Their remix of Filter's "Take a Picture" is particularly incredible. And "Finished Symphony" takes my breath away every time I listen to it.
I'm going to make as many people as I can listen to them. Hybrid is definitely worth checking out, even if you're not a fan of electronica; they're surprisingly accessible. It's like what might happen if BT, The Crystal Method, Armin Van Buuren, and Hans Zimmer all had a lovechild. Surprisingly gorgeous.
