so the last weeks of my life have been absolutely crazed.
we start with the breakup of me and joe. but at this point i'm optimistic that things will work out how they are meant to be. I guess a week of telling stories to people using him as a past tense 'ex' helped me to realize that, you know what, if we get back together sweet, and if we don't, sweet. I mean, he's not going to disapear from my life, and the friendship truely is whats important to me.
next we move onto the induction of me into my 'auxilary' group of boys. rather, 3 of them. They are candace's friends from HS, ultra-super nerdy, and for some reason there's just a comfort level there, that to be completely honest hasn't been part of my life for years and years. Maybe its because its been a while since i was introduced to boys as a friend that i really have absolutely no sexual chemistry with whatsoever. I mean, i can flirt with a rock if i really wanted to but its nice to be completely frank with people, have them accept you, and tell you that you "aren't allowed not to be they're friend". Now this induction process included me being still awake for sunrise (much like today) tuesday through friday and has some very intresting stories to go along with it. i'll tell ya'll those later but here's a teaser...
::never have i ever played strip poker::....i drink
::never have i ever been skinny dipping::....i drink
::never have i ever been skinny dipping with a guy who have a girlfriend, who i met only for about an hour, before she went to bed and i ended up drunk, and naked in a hottub for 3 hours with her boyfriend::....i drink
Then the Umass crew started trickeling into town for spring break 2. Apparently spring break is synonymous with me doing a crap ton of driving. Saturday i went and picked up Jon2 at the airport in tampa (2 hrs drive time), theeeen we got stuck in crazy crazy REDONCULOUS traffic on the way back (+4hrs) he crashed early due to the being up for 36hours straight and i went and participated in the afore mentioned crazy. Sunday we waited around for the subaru full of 5 people plus camping stuff to make it from they're 23 hour car ride. Caught up on old times, had a bottle smashed, ohhhh the good ol days. Monday we trekked out to the campground (+1.5 hrs) realized how absolutely beautiful florida springs are. Then i waited to help the mickyB 3some set up camp in the dark. Follow with some very secretive drinking, and some getting up rediculously early to go sit in a tube and float down the river for 4 hours. Great idea, great weather, not so much. It rained, and was windy, and although still fun and somehow relaxing, quite chilly. Recovered with some more awesome covert drinking, a glowstick war, and the discovery of exactally how much pain you can be in when sunburned. Yeah, clouds DOES NOT equal not burnanating. Wednesday we packed up camp, bid the tampa/mickyB crew fond farewells and went out to go snorkeling (some went kayaking) and burn those parts of bodies not already toasted like a marshmallow dropped in the fire. I have officially the most rediculous tan lines ever. Follow that with an exciting (+2hr) car ride to daytona if exciting is being so bored you almost fall asleep at the wheel, a great dinner, a disapointed discovery that the boardwalk is closed, and some moooooore drinking. Wake up the next morning to make sure we start drinking again before noon, which we did, hang out on the beach even though it wasn't totally beach weather, try not to get more burned, great dinner that got to include gma and aunt noeleen, then, lots, lots, lots more drinking. Then i get to drive jon2 to tampa to catch his flight (+6 hrs) kill a bottle of blush wine, watch our Bball team make it to the El33t 8 in march madness YAY! then drive christine and graham to jax (+1.5hrs) to then finally return home (+1.5 hrs)
alanna total driving hours: 20
ryan, k2, and kitty total driving hours: 48
YAY spring break was awesome.
now i'm gunna go take niquil to knock me out, and hope that healing somehow fixes sunburns.
