This weekend Jeff, Jake, the boy, and myself all spent 2 nights at Torreya St. Park in northern florida. So named for a specific kind of pine that grows there, also in the 'goffer wood' family, is apparently named in the bible as either "part of the garden of eden" or.. "the wood Noah used to build his ark" i couldn't get a clear story on that one. Anyhoo, this pine only grows in 4 places of the world, here, no. cal., and 2 random spots in asia somewhere. So that was kinda intresting. This part is also home to the 'highest point in florida' at a whomping 265 ft. i love this state.
Anyways we didn't get lost. Despite the tornado warnings for that area...camp was pretty dry and undamaged. Managed to check in with out even a hicup. Froze our asses off when the temp dropped to 35degree's in our 40degree sleeping bags. Woke up bright and early, forgot eggs...so made bacon and cheese sandwitches. Trekked a 7mile extreamely hilly loop around the park. Managed to have the boys not kill themselves climbing up clay...i repeat clay "rock faces". Made theoretical plans for Europe this summer. Played a rediculous round of the 'band game' and realized that its too hard as is to make into a drinking game. Froze again, but not as bad.
i am sore, but very happy. and the sunset right now is absolutely amazing.
ok, really quick for those of you that somehow missed me over the break, and or have no idea what the whirlwind of chaos that i was consisted of.
Arrived december 16th.
16th-20th Hanging with alex, xmas shopping. Chilling w/ conor, kiki, kate, muffin and misc. other cool kids. Playing pictionary, and driving like fuck all around the m'head area.
21st. tried to drag sexy out of bed to no avail...m'head party w/ layla in a empty car shop in lynn. wicked awesome
22-23rd sexy time mostly (and i have no idea what else)
24th xmas eve party, joe calls and tells me he's visiting for a week.
christmas
26th. can't handle driving to RI too much mom drama and bad weather...instead drive around with sammy and alex in the tri-town area (my parents are on CRACK)
27th prepare for whirlwind
28th.nathan drama in the morning. Go pick Joe up from airport, go directly into harvard for the christmas revels with my parents and brothers. Watch dancing 13th century french donkey, awesome. Bump into sammy and girl at the harvard T, depart with them at park street, where we run into k2 and krew. Joe is instantly convinced i know everyone. Aquire car, joe is appaled at the number of dunkn' donuts in the m'head area I get the best xmass present ever =D program it to say 'i love kristine'
29th. aquire sexy. return to the airport about 10 hours after we left. tackle kristine elaine lo lee (litterally). stuff me, joe, sexy, circle, brad and all their gear into the cruiser . Take the best driving tour of m'head ever, w/ stine commentary. Stop at the chaatah skool, see mr. commeray and get a tour of the expantion. return to my house, nap and watch eddie izzard with delicious cheese and crackers. Drive to Grasshopper, have dinner with {karl, tommy, patricia, some girl, karen, and sara. Adventure to Melrose, meet k.stine's cali crew, get crunked while sexy naps. Leave brad and k.stine there, get lost on the way home, almost make it to NH.
30th. Head in to Cambridge sq. , deliciousness at fanagle a bagle, find stine and brad, go get matching tattoo's YAY. Back to m'head, make unique pizza's at sexys. leave her to sleep, go to Brandon's house, and let stine be fawned at w/ the m'head kids =)
31st. wake up rediculously early, take stine to t. Come back, wake joe and nathan up, flurry of snowboarding gear, pile in the mazda drive to mt. sunapee.....me stuck in a car w/ 3 14 yr old boys, and a boyfriend wired off of chocolate covered espresso beans. Teach joey how to snowboard. my bindings break (booo), drive home in the snow, and black ice. Play band game to keep alanna awake, yay. NAP, no energy to plan new years. at 10ish, track down sexy and kevin, return to my house. Alex harvey and zack smith show up, teach ikerdog how to play 'drinking foozball', get asses kicked, get ike wasted, watch him beat joe in drunk chess.
1st. SLEEP YaY!!!!!! then sledding w/ sexy, and kevin and joey at star of the sea.
2nd. football, gators won!
3rd. quincy market for chili, and museum of science....missed the planetarium =(. dropped joe off at airport. coffee w/ conor, chopped hair off w/ layla.
