happy birthday to me.

so in a few hours i'll be twenty-one. what have i learned this year? ok. some people really are cunts, others aren't - in fact, others are quite amazing. some people start off being amazing and become cunts, and fortunately i have only encountered one or two of these types. funny how little i mourn the loss of their friendships now. the important thing is, i'm independant and on my feet, i may have mono (apparently that's US slang for glandular fever) and i may be chronically fatigued as a result - but dammit my life is pretty amazing, i know the best people ever (yup, better than any of the people you know) and i live in a house of all things that are good. i have grown up a huge deal this year... i've been exposed to lots of things i wouldn't have been exposed to had i decided to continue my sheltered, boring life ... and goddamit, i am proud of myself for surviving it this far!! i no longer live vicariously through people. i have my own dramas, i create my own fun, and i wouldn't change a single thing i've done this year. it's been so amazing.

this year i am highly thankful for and indebted to: my mum, russell (amazingest boy!!), kevin, elliott, kym, aaron, beef sausages on special at duffy's and the fact that everyone at work loves me even though i'm a shit employee.

oh my god. twenty one. so i guess it's all downhill from here??
