so...there's a Part 6!

Admittedly, Part 6 is very short and kind of bittersweet.

No, the stupid little pig-dog does not die, so don't worry about that.

Also, I narrowly avoided her today on my walk home! So close, it was scary.  I heard her talking out her open windows and went triple-time around the other side of the block and back home...whew! I was winded, because I actually thought she would run out of her house having scented me on the street, and follow me at a running pace back to my house.  Winded and sweaty.  good times.

This is the weekend before our international trip.  How exciting! We are going to stay in a foreign country all on our own...no predetermined tour group or friends and family.  Crazy time!  Hopefully we will enjoy our stay and thankfully, we will understand the language of London, England.  We will also have a day trip out to Stratford Upon Avon, just for kicks.

Wouldn't it be cool if you were born with ice skating blades attached to the bottoms of your feet?  You would learn really good posture and balance, and in the winter, walking down the sidewalk would be a breeze...skatey breeze.

Meghaan is playing in the kitchen, making her own tortillas to go along with the awesome bean stuff she made the other day.  I really am fiending for fresh veggies and fruit, but I see none on the horizon.

I attempted to make Challah bread for the first time since high school where every Friday my Dad told me to make two loaves for dinner, since he liked the fresh bread better and didn't have to worry about picking it up or paying all that money for it.  Me and challah have a sort of hate-hate relationship.  It is a time consuming bread; all that time rising and kneading and rising and braiding and rising, oy!  And I always mess it up, so sad and pathetic.  They come out looking like flattened roadkill bread and are usually tough or grainy.  Every time.  EVERY TIME! Me and yeast bread are no buddies.  So, I made this batch of challah, the first in about 15 years and guess what?  They came out flat and sad and Meghaan tried to put a nice spin on it like, "oh! we can call them foccacia! I can make garlic bread and flat bread sandwiches..." right...that's all good except for having to eat them...ohs wells! I was asked to make them and I conceded to do so, knowing my track record and it still stands: me 0, yeast bread 10100

Is anyone watching Rubicon?  We were busy watching a million other things and recorded, basically, the whole season of this show because one of Meghaan's work buddies suggested it for her.  Is it worth spending another 9 or so hours on?

peace out
