As far as Kaye was concerned, it was all Roiben's fault. He was the one who suggested they go out. It'd only been a few days since the funeral and they had both been busy.

"You need to relax." He had argued. "Let go of the stress."

This all led to the reason why, at midnight, Kaye was wandering down a side alley, in full glory. Her hair was free, cascading in loose waves, heavy eye make-up and a black lacy skirt completed the look. The combat boots and torn t-shirt didn't exactly fit, but Kaye didn't care. It was original. It was her.

"Roiben, it's just down here." Kaye whispered, not wanting to disturb the stillness of the night. The moon was bright and air filled her lungs. It smelled of litter, and metal and it made her feel wild.

"Are there no people on the door, Kaye? It seems odd." Roiben could smell trouble, but this time he was over-reacting. He was just nervous about going to a human club. He needn't have been. Roiben looked beautiful, he always looked beautiful. Even with the glamour to hide the ears that knifed through his hair.

"That's all inside, it's a new place." Indeed, the music blasting from inside spoke the truth. Kaye opened the door, painted on her best smile and stepped through the door.
