There are a lot of interesting movies in the theaters right now, as well as tons more great films sitting in DVD cases on our shelves. And so I offer you an IRON POET CHALLENGE!!! And this one is very simple:

1) If you watch a movie this week, write a poem about it.

Can you dig it?

The dogs were all good
While the cats were all evil
But I still like cats

It gives new meaning
To the term "extended"
I was four hours in
And it still hadn't ended

The villains were dead
And they'd melted the ring
But there's still one more hour
In the Platinum, Super-Special, Extended Edition of Return of the King

IRON POET ANONYMOUS... man, that's a long movie...

Spartans were tough,
That much is true.
But they wore heavy armor,
So they weren't run through.

Ferrell plays it straight

Stranger Than Fiction

Maybe I was tired from playing all day
But it touched my heart to hear Mr Spock say
"I don't belong any more."

The Captain had broken the evil plant's reign
And Spock wasn't sad to be himself again
But he didn't belong any more.

Spock's final line wasn't funny or snappy:
"For the first time in my life, I was happy."
Now he doesn't belong any more.
