The Corner Hotel
Woah, Iron On, what a band. Two girls, two guys, one big fuck-off, indie assault. Ross Hope’s Ben Gibbard-esque vocal stylings clearly indicate where the band is coming from, but the genius is in the guitar interplay of Hope and fellow vocalist Kate Cooper. Apparently, the two of them learned their craft from each other, and the two instruments merge with a kind of mathematically precise symbiosis. Their set featured a mixture of tracks from debut Oh The Romance and a tantalising taste of things to come. We’ll keep you posted.
