Some regrets for last post

It is Friday. Three days and a "wake-up". That's military jargon. It means I have three days left with THIS employer and then I move on and hopefully better myself. I sorta feel odd about my last post. I don't want a pity party and I don't want anyone telling me everything will be fine. "Being fine" is only relative to what your last horrible experience was and how you endured or drowned. That's not cynicism. It is just how I feel. I DO have good days. I remember once, sitting in front of the Jefferson Memorial with the love of my life, watching the sun set over the Potomac River, wrapped in a poncho liner. That was one of those good days. I once drove through Southern Oregon, on I-5, and saw a herd of Elk running next to me. That was a good day.
Standing in Rhien Mein Airbase, Germany looking at a McDonald's menu after being in Afghanistan for the last 8 months. Pretty good.
I do have things to be thankful for. I have pretty good health and what friends I do have, mean the world to me. I guess that is about it for today. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Maybe Monday I will have something to say that really means something.
