Something tells me I need a new home... and it's not just the pleasing result of making the bathroom look a lot less shite than it was before. I probably mentioned it before, but one of the things I'd quite like for the future (as opposed to what I need) is a camper van. I think the key is to sell your house, then you don't have to park the van in front of it :)

2 summers I took a short trip in someone's refurbished VW camper van, and I almost) literally could have run faster than it, so VW vans lost a lot of appeal....

They've certainly been quite smart with their choice of vehicle - just about every car in impoverished Albania is an old Mercedes because those of a certain age are just about indestructible. And the Merc van that this camper is based on appears to be the same model that UPS have been using for quite a while now - and that the cab is brown and has a large sliding door presumably means it is an old UPS van. So, if it was originally designed to deliver parcels around a small part of Germany, it should be able to handle an overland trip to India ( ... )

I've always really wanted one of those classic VW campers. I don't think I'll ever be able to have one of my own, but I hope to be able to hire one someday.
