General insanity
I have way too much keeping me busy these days, but I love it. I actually got my first real legal job this past week and I start on Monday. I'll be clerking in a small estate planning and real estate firm by school, and that makes me really happy since that's exactly what I'm looking to go into. Last night I was appointed as the chairperson for the steering committee I'm on for my Labor and Employment Law Journal, and I'm working on my first draft of my note on paid family leave under the FMLA. I'm extremely overwhelmed by all of this at this point because my Google calendar looks like an extremely large and colorful rainbow with very little white on it, but that's what I live for, right? I'm really enjoying the craziness that is my life these days as I slowly but surely adjust to the new schedule and everything that comes with it. I can't wait for Thanksgiving since that's the next time I legitimately get a day off, but I'll make it to then, I'm sure. I might even venture to Fall Bash (semi-formal at school) to have a social life for a little while. We shall see!
