I have to be at breakfast at 5 AM. So what am I doing? Attending to absolutely unimportant matters on the internet because I finally have a computer again (even if it is temporary) and I won't have access to it for a while because I'M GOING TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Glendale, AZ here I come! Our planes leave at 9 or so tomorrow morning, so we have breakfast at 5. Fun. I don't know what I'm wearing to the band banquet, which happens while we're there. I didn't get to shop for a dress because I am on the uniform committee for TBS because I am dumb as (insert expletive of your choice here). So I'm not sure I'm even going to go to sleep tonight since I haven't gotten to unpack from moving back in, or pack for the trip I leave on in a matter of hours. I am excited, though. I will be going to THE game, I will be going on a Jeep tour in Sedona, and I will be missing 2 days of classes.
I should NOT be doing this right now.
Winter break was SO welcome. I was totally over school by the time finals ended.
In case you haven't heard, I got in a car accident this winter break. Here's what I put on Facebook:
so, I was in a pretty bad accident Friday, December 22. I was driving with my brother (behind my parents) and I think I hit something on the road. Anyway, I lost control of the car, and we crashed into the metal barrier in the middle of the highway, full-speed. We then flipped/rolled over a few times, landing upside down. In my poor car. Long story shorter, my brother and I are amazingly fine. No broken bones or stitches, just a few cuts and bruises, thank God. Strange thing is, they say that a freakishly high number of accidents happen on the 10-mile stretch of the Turnpike where we crashed, more than anywhere else on the Turnpike. And no one knows why....
By now most of my bruises and scratches are gone. My car and laptop were both totalled, and my iHome just went missing, but other than that, all my stuff survived. And I actually have a new car, as of today. It is a 2005 Honda CR-V, silver and pretty :-). (My parents are insane. Who am I kidding? My whole family is insane!)
This break, I also had (what I'm calling) a Disney reunion, a family reunion, family overload, and a skiing adventure. It was all mostly fun while it lasted, but it ended much too soon.
I have realized that parts or all of school, as much as I love it, bring out the complaining selfish bitch in me... so I'm trying to work on that.
That being said, I got to Gainesville on the 3rd, with a report time of 2 PM. I received a call at 11 AM to be there at 12. Not a big deal, just not appreciated. I ended up painting the practice field at 7 the next morning, before a 9:00 practice. That was wonderful. And then we had to be at a movie theater at 8 this morning to see a movie. I thought The Pursuit of Happyness was good, and I really liked it, but I can't really say I enjoyed it at 8 AM.
and I have breakfast at 5 tomorrow morning.
I miss all my friends from the Coop, a week at home was not nearly enough.
aaaaand I'm wasting time doing things I shouldn't be doing.
I have to unpack my life in clothes. And pack clothes for the next 4 days of my life, which sounds much simpler than it really is. *sigh*
crap. I'm complaining again.
