Cause when people change we all take notice.
But when we are the one that had changed, it'll take a while before we realise that we've changed at all.
We'll deny.
We'll deflect.
We'll say anything to assure the other person that the person they're talking to is the same person that they knew the last time they had met.
But the truth of the matter is, people change.
People evolve.
Our priorities evolve.
And soon, the people that had mattered the most, will soon be the thing we look at and go " Ah, those were the days."
When it could have been a smile and a sense of contentment in knowing that we had made an effort to sustain a lovely gift.
