Doctor Angst is in the House!
After the first re-watch, I was sure it's Cuddy's whole "It means a lot that you respect me enough to do this..etc" that had her so upset, and yes, it is.because that's Cuddy, who thinks the world is full of healthy puppies and rainbows and unicorns. right? "You make me a better person, hopefully I make You a better person" ..but obviously. NOT.People do not change, even if they want to, try to, it's a truefax.
But the second re-run, I noticed Wilson's 10 secs of screen time, and Wilson talks about House's choice between his patient/his duty and his personal life, and it seems like House ends up choosing the dying guy, which is not wrong, but well, not a good sign for his relationship. it's the first nail in the metaphorical door to doomland.
the angst is awesome, and is probably why half the world watches House to begin with, I for one muchly welcome this direction, because last ep's happy/hopeful Cuddy (who was kind of dumb and clueless about House's craziness involving her own daughter) was just..off.
I kind of like the new girl, embarrassingly enough, I've watched Sisterhood of the traveling pants' tons of times when I was younger, and i loved AT in it. she still wins, even if I don't approve of her flowery outfits.
-"They are in Jail" -"Why?" -"Prostitution". House is back!
Now, Cuddy's dress! THE DRESS, The one from the snuggling, cuddling awesome promo, I was le dead!
and I love House's opinions on her relating to the med student, Cuddy is not "that' smart or that 'moral' but just that socially awkward. Huh.
lastly, we could have done very well without that whole slow-mo walk, Cuddy (Or more like, Lisa E) can nail a sad walk without the weird direction stuff. Think "Let them eat cake".
