I didn't realize how long its been since I posted here.
So....lifes changed a lot.
Nikki and I finally broke up. It just didn't work out. It was long, drawn out and eventually I came home and told her I was leaving. I live with my Dad now, quit my job at ServiceMagic, and I've been spending a lot of time on my own or with close friends...trying to figure out who "Me" is anymore. I've made a few major choices lately.
I'm not going to get into a relationship of any kind, not for a long while (at least 6 months, if not a year or more.) Nor am I going to pursue one.
I'm going to move forward professionally in life. I'm getting back into export compliance and within 5 years I'm going to start consulting.
I'm going to travel, on my own if I have to. My next planned trip is for Portland, Oregon/Vancouver, Washington for the 4th of July. After that, definitely the old standby's of Las Vegas and San Francisco.
In all likelihood I'm going to stay here so I can save up for a car, get my life back together, start being self-sufficient. (I'm still paying for the rent on the house we shared, so I don't have much beyond that until June when Nikki moves to California.)
I want a motorcycle....
I miss her and the kids dearly....but it was time to move on. We were just really different people and stayed together for a lot of reasons that weren't related to the health of our relationship.
I've grown up a lot these past few years, and I'm moving into an adult lifestyle, which is strange and weird, yet fun at the same time. I guess we'll see where this takes me!
