Since it's been a while since the last time I posted, I'll start way back. My birthday back in September was pretty good. The bar I karaoke at had a cake for the 5-6 of us that had a birthday that week. They left my name off of it (on accident) and then gave me the knife with which to cut it. My roommates made me cake and there were some good times abound. Sushi for lunch, Longhorn for dinner, and a movie in the middle.
I didn't get the internship I was trying for as I'm not a student. I'm still in the restaurant and host karaoke one night a week. If anyone knows of any Orlando area jobs pertaining to theatre/film/artsy stuff, I'm game.
Halloween was pretty good. I went to a co-worker's party and had fun with the bonfire. I went as Living Dead Girl a la Rob Zombie.
Tom Begley, my mentor and my father figure while away from my father, died Wednesday night. He was a good man who loved film, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, David Bowie, and various flavors of hot tea. He made wonderful cinnamon scones and enjoyed sausage and mushroom pizza from Imo's. This was the guy who gave me the pet tarantula to alleviate my fear of spiders. He will be missed.
