4th edition
Having run 2 sessions and 4 encounters i can already say that 4th edition D&D has blown me away.
Our party consists of a:
halfing rogue. focus on movement and ranged attacks
human ranger: focus on damage dealing and 2 weapon fighting
eladrin warlock: focus on teleportation and illusion
the last fight we had pitted the heroes against some kobolds: 8 minions, 2 fighters, 1 rogue, 1 magic user.
It was absolutely incredible. tactics like crazy. terrain usage, chained teleports, whirlwind attacks, combos...
at no point in the last 2 sessions has anyone ever said... "I attack" you don't just attack. you do shit. every single round.
it is more fun to play than i ever thought table top gaming could be. and yes every session we have all laughed till we cried from some hilarious table talk bullshitting.
