Well I got back from Vegas yesterday. It certainly was a long day coming back, since I left just before midnight their time and made it to dulles around 9:30 our time. I had a really good time out there, it was relaxing which was something I needed. I mainly needed a break from work or I would probably have lost my mind in the next few weeks. Thanks to M & M for letting me stay with them. So, now I'm all rested up and ready for work again. Tonight was my first night back and it went quite well for a friday. Tomorrow will be a longer day filled with more people, but it should be fine too. Then I'm off on sunday and monday, I'll be headed down to the lake house with my wonderful girlfriend to spend two days, so it'll be like another mini vacation. That was the only down side of being in Vegas, not having her around, so I gotta get in some quality time with her. Looks like I have a job lined up for when I move out there, as well as a room to rent from M & M at their soon to be finished home. I talked to this chef, a former graduate of L'Academie (93), and hopefully I can get a job in his restaurant (
http://www.alizelv.com), if not, he's opening a new place in august where I'll be able to work. Alize is located on top of the Palm's Casino, which is where the Real World Las Vegas was filmed. The restaurant is on the 53rd floor and has a killer view of Vegas and the Strip, since it's not actually on the Strip, just next to it though.
