I'm sorry, you just suggested that Steve taught me how to do something involving a computer, and I had to laugh for 20 minutes. But now I'm good.
The press conference is imminent, certainly; I don't want to say too much, the good stuff ought to come from Steve. And it's worth thinking about how much should come from Tony Stark, inventor/CEO; how much from Director of SHIELD, and how much from the Iron Avenger. You know? We can smooth it all out over the next week. And by 'we' I mean you and Carol.
The first pitch thing is a genius idea. Genius. Steve's frustratingly humble about some things, but if you can convince him there's some cornball Norman Rockwell Americana angle to it -- and this is the last game the Yanks will play at Shea Stadium. Good thought.
Also. . .outing, ha ha. We won't be having any of that any time soon, all right?
*gasp* And you replied...fairly quickly... no, this HAS to be Steve's doing though if his nagging actually works, you might not need me around . I didn't know you KNEW what the reply button was. My goodness, Tony, you surprise me more and more every day.
I'm glad you agree it's imminent, seeing as Carol and I have been coordinating on setting it up. Steve will have his part, of course, but we just want him to explain Steve things. As with everything else, you'll have to do most of the talking. Carol will be there to represent the Avengers, I'll be there to represent Stark Enterprises, so you just have to be there as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Obviously you'll be doing all the talking, but having others there will definitely help.
Let me convince Steve about the whole baseball thing. People want to see him, he's an icon. Besides, I've already basically set it up. The GM almost wet his pants when I suggested it as a possibility.
And Tony? I only have genius ideas, thank you very much.
I wouldn't want to interrupt but I really do need to speak with you... we'll see, okay? You know how much I hate baseball
About Henry.. Tony, I think he's hurt you didn't fill him in on anything that was going on. He hasn't spoken to me since he found out that I'd known all along what was going on. And don't worry: I didn't say anything until AFTER Steve had come out of hiding.
Oh I know he trusts me. I think he worries I don't trust him, which I find laughable. Only three people in this world know about my miscarriage, and he's one of them. As if I wouldn't trust him.
Maybe you could try to draw him out a little? The Order is getting ready to recommission, and if he's in a bad headspace, I'm the last person he's going to confide in. I trust the guy implicitly, but I don't want to make him do something he isn't up to.
I think he should be fine. Lorna has a good head on her shoulders, and I think she'd keep him on track. Plus, if anything started to go sideways, I know Kate will be calling me, letting me know what's going on.
I've convinced him to come out this weekend though, since the Order isn't 100% started. We're going to a show, and then dinner, so I'll see for myself how he's doing. We've only been talking via email lately, and you know what. I miss California more than I thought I would.
Oh did you? I didn't know. Maybe I should be re-thinking my opinion of her. She seems nice, and apparently thinks highly of me. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
And Henry and I? Seriously? Thats...just...wow. No. My husband's only been dead for 15 months, and 12 of those were while I was with the Order. So no. He's a good friend though.
If I let myself be offended by half the things you say, you would've paid me out a large severance by now. And possibly an island. You know, I never wanted an island before. Funny how things just get stuck in your head.

I'll forward the details for the game.
You realize you owe me an island for all of this right?

Any particular island you prefer?
Also, have you talked to Hellrung lately?

Honduras seems like a good place to go for vacation, no? http://www.privateislandsonline.com/diamondcbhd-1.htm <-- Just a little one...it's so cute ;)

We'll talk about it when you come see me in the box during the ballgame.
Just look out for the 'do not disturb' sign.
And don't feel bad about Henry. I have a feeling his girlfriend told him everything before you got a chance. I think he trusts you. Most people do.

Actors. Temperamental, each and everyone of them.
Hey, speaking of Lorna: what do you think of her?

Who's the third?
Lorna's a peach.

Lorna has a good head on her shoulders? Well, you're a better judge of these things than I am!
For a while I actually thought you and he might hit it off.

I didn't mean to offend you, and I certainly didn't mean to insult Happy.
Sorry.

Anyways. Don't worry about it.
