Awww, Tony. The problem with being smart and rational is that you wind up seeing all of the problems and quitting before you have a chance to act. Sometimes I think the world would be better off if everyone was like Steve - completely unable to envision a world where good isn't going to win out in the end, and completely confident in their ability to create that better world of good, despite everything.

Luckily, Tony's still a futurist, so he sees past more problems than some. But that doesn't mean I don't want to hug him and tell him to take a leap of faith, whatever the consequences.

(It's also interesting how much both of them have such strong sense of duty - and those senses pull them in completely different directions because of who they are.)
